I apologise if this has been covered before. From my childhood, I can remember the TV show 'Ripping Yarns' written by Michael Palin and Terry Jones (of Monty Python fame). I received an email a few months back saying the episode 'The Testing Of Eric Olthwaite' was virtually a documentary of a person with AS :

I'll have to admit here, my father is a devotee of 'Ripping Yarns'. Whenever I used to talk about my personal topics of interest, he would impersonate Eric Olthwaite, saying "Guess who's got a new shovel..." etc.
Nowadays, my parents ask me why I never talk to them.
