I want to learn Esperanto because I want to be able to express myself in a language other than english, because I have always wanted to travel, and personally am sick of french/german irregular verbs, conguntication and the like, I thought I might try Esperanto. I mentioned it to my french teacher at school, and she almost died,
so that's oh-the-more-encouraging of my nutty pursuits. It seems a logical language, though I haven't yet heard it spoken as such. Saluton, amiko and esperanto/esperanton/esperantist seems to be the extent of my knowledge so far, so I'm interested. Perhaps I could be fluent in a few years!
