Like, in your physical features? Because someone told me that I "look like someone with Asperger's." I have no idea what this means. I must ask and clarify whether they meant my physical appearance, or posture/mannerisms.

It's possible to care very little about your physical appearance. This could make people associate to asocial nerds, and expect you to be like that. I don't think asperger's correlates with any particular look, but we know it correlates with geekiness. Just a thought.

When someone says you "look like an aspie" they might also be referring to your behavior.

I think I appear "aspie" if I don't fake facial reactions during conversations. I also have a closet full of the same outfit which most people find strange - not sure if that would qualify as "aspie" though.

Posture...facial expressions, maybe.

One time I was really tired, and just kinda spacing out, staring off into the distance, and my brother told me I looked autistic @_@ (he doesn't know, or at least I didn't tell him)

oh, okay. I was thinking along the lines of more biological features. I really don't mind if my behavior and/or mannerisms are a bit unusual. :D

Yeah, I've been told by people who know me well that I get a certain look when I'm tired/overloaded and am feeling more autistic. A certain ridgid way of holding myself, and my eyes get a bit glazed. Most people don't seem to notice though.

I could see a very good character actor portraying a person with Aspergers

I actually appear very normal. I'm pigeon-toed, but really no one notices.

I read once that aspies are often handsome with highly symmetric features. I have no idea why this would be the case, but it's weird - I do feel like I kind of look like some of the people on these forums.

Odd gait, postures and facial expressions; lacking nonverbal cues, and exhibiting frequent motor mannerisms, all equate to someone looking "autistic".

People with AS tend to lack the frequent and stereotypical motor mannerisms (swaying/rocking/flapping), but the others are there.

It's the eyes, dammit.^^

Aspies/ autties/ even adhders have a certain type of glance.

Autties and aspies seem to look deeper, if they make no eye contact, when they do look at you it's like they can kinda see your soul.

ADHD has something similar, only to a much lesser degree.

Look at the photo thread and you'll see what i mean.

Mostly the eyes, as others have said, give it away. However, I've noticed a few other physical features that are present in a lot of people with AS, such as large foreheads.

I think it has to do with how you stand or sit, if you are rocking or flapping your hands, or if you are talking about your obsessions.
