Are you driven by weath or do you suceed to be wealthy.
Are you jealous of those who are wealthy or sucessful or strive to be wealthy yourself?

No!

Nor by wealth: I could tell you tales (but not tonight) but for the moment;

"it's not money, but the quest for status, that is the root of all evil"

Not my favourite philosopher, but Camus got that bit right!

I'm driven to be in a comfortable position. Living on my own, not having to worry about bills and some of the responsibilities that hassle me day to day. Not saying I want to get rid of responsibilities, but they do add up... My dream would be to have a large piece of land, a nice roomy home in the center if it all, lush gardens around that, a workshop with all my tools specifically picked by myself, all in working order, and an endless supply of wood, fabric, staples, foam, and any other thing I might need to create some new pieces. Oh, and a big f-ing library.

Driven by my desires, but in need of wealth to get there. Driven to be content. If there was such a thing.

Don't need fancy things, cars, threads, or women. Don't need much at all really, tho I do enjoy looking at certain cars, I am not driven for any "nice thing." None at all. I'd probably wear jeans and shirt and a good pair of boots all day, every day. Might need a maid tho...

I want wealth, at least enough not to have to worry about about money for my (rather low) needs.

Yes, driven to wealth. I am not jealous so much as paranoid towards the powerful.

I get bitter towards the wealthy if they abuse their wealth, but generally I just don't care.
I don't strive towards wealth really, as long as I have my music, stories and cats I am okay : )

all my ambitions provide enough money to satisfy me so i don't really care about money. i'm more interested in doing something i enjoy. building and blowing stuff up for a living is pretty cool. i'd say i'm driven by my desire for personal accomplishment.

I'm terribly jealous of wealthy people.

Everybody bashes poor people and wants nothing to do with them or doesn't know they exist in certain places.

My school didn't understand I was poor, but that I went to school all the same.

It felt as if only rich people are allowed to have higher education.

Nobody said that, but they said 'nobody here is poor. You (Sora) can't be poor or you wouldn't be here.'

It made me cry and I realised:

Being rich means you are allowed to be everyone you like and do everything you like.

Being poor means people want you to vanish into non-existence.

I hate that.

For the most part I am driven by internal forces that are disassociated from the outside world. I would like to be wealthy, but no amount of money will motivate me to focus on a task that is otherwise not interesting to me.

Cash rules everything around me... CREAM get the money...

Hell yeah I wanna be rich. Society's a b***h and success is the best revenge. That's not the only reason I wanna be rich, but it would be nice to s**t over everyone who's ever doubted me or tried to f**k with me in some way.

Money can't buy you everything, but poverty buys you nothing.

If I was wel off I could buy loads of Xbox 360 games. :p To have plenty of money I'd have to be working all the time so I'd have no time to play on my games all the time. Such a cruel circle. :D

I am a student of Monty Burns, The Simpsons, it is not the money, it is what it does to other people.

Mr. Burns is not evil, life is, and he lives fully.

I do the touching fingertips and wicked grin thing, did before the Simpsons.

Only to the degree that I can feel secure and comfortable and not be bored with my life. It would be nice to have a six figure income for myself but any more than that and I wouldn’t know what to do with it all.

Even if I made a million dollars a year I would probably still choose to live in modest house, wear cheap clothes, and have a cheap car. I don’t care at all about fancy pointless crap. I really don’t see the point in owning stuff just for the sake of owning stuff. The more stuff you own the more stuff you have to keep track of and worry about.

Also, there are so many people living off of dirt in the world that I would feel much more happy investing the extra cash into charities than buying some pointlessly expensive property. And I don’t even consider myself a generous person.

No.

Poverty, if mastered, is assurance of being separated from fluff. It was lauded by the Romans, believe it or not.

It's scary, I admit. Some winters I had no heat- summers, no AC. But I was able to use the poverty to do and learn things I would never have.

I am glad to be out of it, but I did not feel that I was less a person, that I deserved to be treated with contempt, or that I was any less than anyone else. I made sure that I was virtuous and educated regardless and had more time then to focus on those things, than I do now!
