I put glow in the dark stars and planets on the ceiling of our guest bathroom. My wife was embarrassed as all heck when I did it, but now they have been there for years.
I have a box full of glow-in-the-dark stuff There's even an old used toothbrush in there (with the bristles removed, of course).
I used to have it hanging around my room near a light source, but could never find a good way to get it all to stay. Hot glue, staples...it all just came right off. Maybe one of these days I'll have to tie it all to strings and make a mobile.

Yes! It was only recently when we redecorated that my glow in the dark stars, moon and plants were removed from the bedroom ceiling...I miss them actually. I've always liked luminous things.
Last year I founds some 'glow sticks' for camping, they're like plastic tubes with liquid inside. You bend the tube to mix the chemicals and they glow for a few hours. They're great, like giant fireflies.
Check these out. The first one is so great. I want one.
The last three are lights but would look great in the dark. My lava lamp that I just got off of craigslist sucks.
This is a great website.

I had some glow in the dark plastic laces for my trainers (sneakers) and some glow in the dark Spokey Dokeys which I think came free with Frosties.
I also went a bit mad with the glow in the dark paint in one of my previous bedrooms and tried to map the northern hemisphere in little dots around the room.
I like the tritium lights I had. Always glowed, about a 10 year half life, no need for re-charging. Now to find a source that will ship to the US again...
