this is one of my recent "revelations", I seem to be much less aware of my body. I first noticed when I developed panic disorder because the doctors started asking about what was physically going on, did I have sweaty palms or was my heart pounding or anything, and, I was perplexed. Who has time to notice if their palms are sweaty when overwhelmed by pure, illogical terror that has no discernible source? When I did focus on physical sensations to be able to tell them what was going on somewhere besides my mind, I realized I could only use mind words for the feelings I had. My knees get nervous, my back is confused, and I have no idea how to explain these feeling any other way.
As usual, I had no idea that I was not perfectly average in my awareness and connection with my body.
I think perhaps we have figured out why those Greco-Roman philosophers all came up with the mind-body split with the boy being this base thing that all the bad feelings like anger and passionate desire came from, whilst the mind was this far better entity capable of so much more....
