My therapist is confusing me...

Okay, so as my sig says, I finally ask the guy, and he's like I don't have ADHD but I might be Aspie.

Well, I go back to the therapist yesterday, and when describing a symptom I was having, he said and I directly quote "Sounds like your ADHD"

I didn't know what to say... how do you deal with docs like this?

I was diagnosed with having both ADHD and PDD-NOS and I am not all that surprised. But is it possible for you to get a second opinion? I know finding a good reputable psych is not easy but is there a way to get yourself referred to one by your family dr?

some doctors just dont know what their talking about, you should take the aspie quiz, then print out the results, then go to the criteria for aspergers and circle which traits fit you, and show him, maybe itll make him understand you more... good luck
