I know what I am about to say might cause a hot debate, but its bothering me a lot, and we are all mature adults here....I am not trying to affend any one here, I am just really angry about this.

A while ago my friend's wife died of cancer, and while in a country bar I was trying to talk with him to help him and this Australian girl walked up and practicly threw herself in his lap. She was like come on and dance with me, you know you want to, then she wrote her number down and made him take it, he was just in tears about his wife.....he clearly did not want to be bothered, but this Australian girl did not get the point nor did she care!! I was so angry at her for being so forward and, she was actually married to an American guy in the Army but he was out of country.

I also had an experince playing pool with a married couple. The Austrailian guy asked me if I was married, I said yes. Then he asked me were my husband was. I told him my husband was at home, playing video games. He then asked me and he trusts you to be down at the bar alone without him

That's terrible, its obivous as to why the men don't trust their wives...

Now I know that American girls hit on guys to but they don't hit on guys because all of their country men treat the like crap. BUT as I have heard Austrialain men treat their women very badly, and are controling And the Austrailan girls are looking for a way out and as I have hear many of these girls say that "American men are gentleman" And it makes me SO angry that these girls are so out for American men, especailly American Military men. Why are they so forward, easy, whatever you want to call it. They seem so desperate, and they have NO repspect for themselves.

This drives me crazy...infact I just saw a message from one that said"Australian girl looking to marry Wealthy American man".

I personally think that if they can be so conning like that then they deserve the men that they have. They are no better and do not deserve the sincereity of an American man....and they need to back off and leave American men alone. And if a guy is not interested, it means he is not interested!!

I know that their are probably Austrailians in here as well, you want to talk about this? Please do.

I think that is probably a little broad of a generalization. I've found Australians to usually be a cooler group than most, and there is a large population segment of American men that I would be offended to be compared to as well. I think it just so happened that she was a slut that by chance was born in Australia.

Total generalisation, sorry.

Australia and NZ always pick against each other, but i'll have to stick up for them on this one.

The Australians I know are totally awesome people, and they don't act like that because they're from Australia. If any do, they just Happen to be from there.

I've seen behaviour from people of my own country, plus all over, including America that is way worse than that.

I can kind of understand why you posted this and what you were thinking when you did, but I don't know, it may be a little misdirected perhaps. The Australian girl, for politeness' sake, sounds like an idiot (keeping it clean) and the guy sounds like, well we have a term here for it, but it should probably only be said in the mature forum. I'll give you a hint, fill in the blanks:
W--K-R. You did say, or it read like, all of their country men (ie Australian males) treat their girls like crap. What you heard about australian men being controlling and treat them very badly seems to me to be a generalization that you have perhaps generalized even further. Whilst there are cases of such occurences in Australia, they also occur right around the world, even in America. But I have nothing against American males because of that.

I dunno, perhaps in Australia, and I like to think it is in fact the case, we're more laid back about things that most but I've never heard or seen of any evidence of anything like this personally. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, just my personal experience living here. Maybe there are other Australians or people here who might disagree, that's their opinion and this is mine. I don't really wish to change your mind or opinion, just stating mine, so please, I don't want to get drawn into another endless debate in here. I hope just that men and women of all nationalities have enough respect for themselves and each other. So I'm sorry for your personal experience and hope in time that hopefully your opinion might change, but please don't think for a second that that's my intention with my reply, because it isn't.

Also just wanted to add that of my friends, I have quite a lot that were actually born overseas and immigrated here and I think nothing other of them than them being Australian. Australia to me is yes a country, but more so, and not to be cliche, a state of mind. Even the New Zealanders I love this country and that's about all I have to say really, be good everybody.
