An Obvious Catfish On Wrong Planet

There is an obvious Catfish on Wrong Planet. Do not have time to write much today, but will contribute to this thread little by little, and probably edit this intro, as I am in a hurry now. I am assuming everyone here knows what a Catfish is, or, if not, google it.

I have spotted one person playing three characters on this particular General Autism Discussion, and looking back I am thinking I see another thread that is now dormant. The intent of this thread here is not to name or point the finger at particular people, but to draw attention to the subject of catfishing and its implications, particularly on a forum such as this that is especially for autistic people.. Would there even be catfishing on a forum such as this? Yeah there would. If it has not happened already over the years, which it probably has, then it would be bound to happen here eventually and imo it surely has.

So what are the implications of this kind of activity and how could it affect people here? Is it bad or maybe even good? I will go into this little by little when I get a chance. I am making this thread not because I am particularly interested int the subject of catfishing, which I am not, but as my civic duty as a participant.

We call them "Sock-Puppets".

Report your suspicions to the moderators, and let them handle the situation.

By the way, just because two or more people seem to be in agreement with each other in several different threads does not make them sock-puppets (or "Catfish", either. :roll: ).

If you believe people are using multiple accounts, report the accounts to moderators so they can determine the truth of the matter.

As others have pointed out this is not the appropiate way to call out a sockpuppet/catfish

If you wish to discuss the problems sockpuppeting may create you are free to do so but please dont start said thread making wild accusations about members

littlebee, please report your concerns to me in confidence by PM.
It's not appropriate to start public discussions casting suspicions on what may well be nothing at all.
