Who else is tired of finding out about this stuff?

I am . there is confusion. I just found something out about nld that blew my mind and seemed to contradict everfything i'd heard before. what I found out was put out on his site by what I'll call the main man of NLD research. and then researching SPD. not identifying with certain parts of NLD. not sure if I have ADHD. Went to a neuropsych and he said I have enough previous testing so I don't need more tests in the last 2 years I had a brain map, and took the WAIS(iq) and maybe part of the woodcock -johnson. had a psych and neuropsych eval in elem school as well as other things. so probably won't get a neuropsych eval now. may need an updated neuropsych eval for career planning. plus probably a waste of money but I really want to know so maybe someday. perhaps when I go to grad school if I do. I think I first found out about all this stuff in '07 maybe.

-as of now official dx is ADHD (inattentive type) but said ADD (314.00) on the dx paper, PDD-NOS and was told looks like I have NLD

NLD is nonverbal learning disability. Technically, there is a wide difference between verbal IQ and performance IQ. Mine is 30 points. This leads to getting lost and confused with directions often, having trouble with left and right, and having difficulty reading faces.

I have this in addition to my AS. It also affects the ability to understand spatial relationships. My brain does not make maps of where I go.

I mean, it sounds like me, and I just thought it was my Asperger's autism. You mean it is poked into a different psychatric pidgeonhole with a different lable?

Actually this is really interesting, as my brain does not make maps of people's faces. If someone changes their hair style, or dyes it or sometimes just changing clothes I pass them with out a glance even if I know them daily at work. People can talk and every now and then I recognize their voices, but if they are stressed or if I see or hear them outside the context of where I know them, zilch. I try to make up for it by being very friendly. It doesn't work well.

lol. incoherent frustrated rambling from me.
well I want to know what exactly I have. it's frustrating. I read different things from different places about nld etc. it gets confusing. I've wanted a neuropsych eval but isn't recommended I get one.
