It's complicated. It depends on both the people and the situation. I'm very hard to offend and I'm indifferent to most people. I'm not one to care about the opinions of someone whose opinions don't matter to me. When I say not care,I mean I won't take them to heart, but I will still know they're hostile and that will make me dislike them. (Unless we're talking about someone lashing out in anger, in which case I can be very understanding because I have done so myself occasionally and know it's just frustration, but that will depend again on who they are). But just because I don't generally care about their opinion doesn't mean I'm gonna set myself up for a negative feedback, so I'll avoid doing things that are likely to make me get one. I'd rather be left alone than be told how terrible I am. But I'm also very stubborn and not likely to change and especially not under pressure.
But those I actually care about have the power to hurt me. I care about the opinions of those whose opinions I value.

The next person thinks the above made little sense.

Yep. I'm not totally bald but I'm on my way.

The next person can't stand to hear the thin sound of children singing.

I don't mind children singing at all.

The next person prefers instrumental to acapella.

I do. I do like choruses like the Moscow Men's Choir, though. Their sound is sublime and ethereal.

The next person has sung in a choir before.

I don't know. I'm conservative on some issues, liberal on others.

The next person hasn't seen a Robin Hood-type movie in a while.

Haha, not since “Contact” was shown. Was that 1997?

The next person has been to the movies more recently than me

Definitely. The last time you were at the movies, I was only 8, and I've certainly been to the movies a bunch since then.

I was talked into it when I was 12 (and was given a reward for it, unlike every other girl who tries to get permission for it). Then it grew over on one ear 2 years later and I had to have it cut open and taken out. After that I let it grow back because I never wanted it in the first place and it was a drag to be careful for it to not get stuck on things like clothes. I haven’t regretted it once.

The next person doesn’t care much for jewelry.

Well, I do have a silver Superman ring on my R hand. It's been there for close to 20 years.

Google 'American Gothic by Grant Wood'. It's well known.

I've seen this painting in person.

The next person doesn't care about great works of art.
