Really? What counts as an actual phobia?

My personal favorite phobia that I've heard of is Anatidaephobia, the fear that no matter where you are or what you are doing, a duck is always watching.

Only a couple of times.

The next person has never had a panic attack.

An actual phobia is a fear so strong it's disabling. It's not merely disliking or being afraid of something.

Anatidaephobia is funny but it's also fictional, and apparently derives from The Far Side comics.

False. I've had at least one real panic attack, and I've been panicky several times.

The next person would hate to suffer from fear of dogs or cats. (A friend of my grandmother was so afraid of cats that she couldn't pass one. A cat once stopped her from going grocery shopping. Seriously.)

Oh...Well I have no real phobias then.

Well, dang.....you ruined it.

I would indeed hate that, but I actually do fear some dogs. Some of them are quite terrifying.

Really? Based on breed or behavior? I’m not afraid of dogs unless they act in such a way that they’re scary. Once a bulldog followed me when I ate an ice cream. I didn’t know the dog and was a little uncomfortable with him following me because I didn’t know how badly he wanted the ice. I was close to my grandparents’ stairwell, so I bit off a piece and tossed it away. He ran after it and I went inside. He didn’t act threatening but not knowing him and him being so interested in the snack made me uneasy. There was also one dog in the neighborhood I feared because he was very aggressive and had bitten both dogs and people before. And his owner had serious mental issues and a problem with alcohol. Great combo!

Yeah I like sushi, but it's very expensive.

When I was younger, yeah. I'm kinda too old for that now.

The next person doesn't wait for sushi (or sashimi) to enjoy raw fish. He simply buys ahi tuna or swai filets from the supermarket, cuts them into strips, and eats it that way.

I used to do that until I got food poisoning.

When I was a boy, yes.

Maybe. D major is slightly easier to play in on a piano. Otherwise, meh.
