It depends on the bug. There are some I can't stand.

Hmm... I've read that they must be lifted by their tail if you wanna keep your fingers. I'd probably let the snapping turtle stay where it was (unless I absolutely had to move it). The same goes for alligator snapping turtles.

Haha, I see more in them than just the shell! They're cute and fascinating and awesome, and so special and good and... Heh, don't get me started on how wonderful turtles are... But you're correct that I do identify with that, so you got that part right. I even envy being able to pull in completely.
