I got a 53.

"In regards to this test, your score puts you in the average range. Individuals with such a score are generally able recognize the emotions of others and understand the underlying motivations behind their actions. They are also typically able to put themselves in other people's shoes and empathize, which is obviously an important skill for having satisfying and meaningful human interaction. With an average score, however, there is still some room for improvement. An individual of this nature may sometimes come across as narrow-minded or lacking in sensitivity, and could occasionally misinterpret other people's behavior."

Huh. I got a 42. I'm not sure if that's because I'm indecisive and just put 'sometimes' for half of the questions because I didn't know where I stood of the scale and kept arguing about ti with myself.

You had a low score on this test. People with such a profile typically have difficulty recognizing the emotions of others and thus cannot respond adequately. They have problems understanding the underlying motives behind people's actions, which may hinder their social interactions. They respond to the face value of behaviors, making them likely to misread and react to the wrong interpretation of the situation. They find it difficult to put themselves into someone else's shoes and see the situation from another perspective. This tendency can make them a bit narrow-minded and set in their ways. They are not generally empathetic or in tune with how others are feeling, lack social insight and may have some trouble making meaningful human connections. For individuals of this nature, it can seem that other people's reactions come out of the blue - they cannot anticipate what's coming.

I got a 29.
but most of the questions had nothing to do with social interaction.most of them were intrapersonal questions.
e.g.

Quote:
When I mess up, I say self-deprecating things such as “I am such a loser”, “Stupid, stupid, stupid”, or “I can’t do anything right”.

what has that got to do with other people? :?

Maybe if one has such little confidence they are less likely to feel good about themselves in social situations??
