Sorry to be a party pooper but:
It doesn't make sense to lump "prehistory" with "the Middle Ages" because those two periods were not consecutive, but were separated by thousands of years. They don't go together.
Ramses III, and the Pretorian Guard were after "prehistory", but before "the Dark and Middle Ages".
From the Big Bang to 3000 BC is "prehistoric". From 3000 BC to 500 AD was "ancient times". From 500 AD to 1500 AD was the "Middle Ages" (the first 300 years of which were also "the Dark Ages"). And around 1400-1500 AD was the start of the "Renaissance" which lead to modern times.
So if it has to do with the Pharoahs, classical Greece/Rome, Mesopotamia, or the Biblical Hebrews, it is doesn't qualify for this thread because its neither prehistoric nor middle ages.
Sorry.
Sorry I forgot to add "Antiquity" to the list you are correct, should have been Prehistory/Antiquity/Middle Ages. Dunno how I made that mistake

. And by prehistory I mean human prehistory, not Trilobites. I'll see what I can get the mods to do about it. Thank you. Been too obsessed with the Dark Ages lately.
