I wish I had more energy.

Granted, you have more energy. You have so much energy you pop over to get uproot that dang pine tree and end its terror once and for all. You throw it away with your new found super powers, and it lands on the daycare house. Now the children will have to go to another daycare. So sad! You may have to face vandalism charges though.

I wish for this wave of cold weather to pass.

Indeed. Well, it kinda of sucks to be human sometimes.

Granted! It passes, and is gone for a week. It was back the next week with a vengeance.

I wish more nights were like tonight at work.

Granted, more nights are like tonight. But other nights will be worse when you find the place is haunted by a wandering ghost. When he’s around, objects will fly about and electronics won’t work.

I wish for winter to be over. Brr….

Granted! Winter is over, but in Australia where it is now summer.

I wish I wasn't so sore right now.

Granted, you don’t feel sore, but boy those bruises are nasty looking!

I wish I wasn’t hungry right now. I don’t wanna leave this wonderful warm blanket to go get something.

I wish to never have any of my teeth fall out.

Granted, but you will bit your tongue so it bleeds. (Believe me, it hurts.)

I wish to never go illiterate.

Granted! You are blind. Now you read Braille.

I wish to never bite in the inside of my mouth or tongue ever again. It does hurt.

Granted, you won’t bite your tongue or the inside of your mouth again, because you are kidnapped and gagged.

I wish to never ever ever go blind! (And how do they read that Braille stuff? I’ve touched those dots and I just don’t get it!)

I wish my room was clean.

It looks impossible.

Granted, your room is clean. Soap residue on the floor makes it slippery though, and the scent of the soap makes you sneeze.

I wish VW Bugs (old type!) were still made.

It's a good thing I have carpet then.

Granted! They are made, but are limited. Because they are so limited, they are super expensive.
