Murder mystery book or love story?

Love story, but not the trashy contemporary ones. I read 18th-19th century poetry and literature which usually has some sort of torrid love with elegant prose. lol. I read them because of the social history and the narrative technique more than the love stories, but they're always a boon.

I can't understand mysteries. I don't do inference or prediction very well. I remember that Scooby Doo was too confusing.

I like love stories better than mysteries----primarily because I suck at "whodunits." Mysteries don't hold my interest, either.
