I love the yellow leaves, too!

I think leaf colour depends on how wet the summer was, but I might be wrong.

Mayonnaise please

Scallops. Do you enjoy creamed scallops with bacon?

New England Clam Chowder, or Manhattan Clam Chowder (NE is creamy; Manhattan is more tomato-ey).

New England, definitely!

I never did care for Manhattan Clam Chowder.

I've only been to Cape Cod once.

Provincetown, or Nantucket?

I almost mentioned Provincetown! I loved it! (You can imagine who I was with given the pride clientele). We went whale watching. It was so festive and happy, but perhaps a little too busy for me. I also remember Nauset Beach which was on the Cape.

Nantucket was pretty quiet. I think I liked Martha's Vineyard best. We went biking and yachting. I miss it.

I would, most definitely, like a quiet area.

kazanscube, I can't stop staring at your avatar. She's hauntingly beautiful. She has that far-away autistic look in her eyes, too. Was she just a google find, or do you know anything about the history of that photo?

I don't know the difference of zimbabwe or ankgor wat :(

I will google.

Zimbabwe used to be called Rhodesia. It's in southern Africa. It has a very nice climate, and beautiful scenery. There is an archaeological site called Great Zimbabwe, which was sort of the headquarters of the kings of approximately the 14th century.

Angkor Wat is in the western part of Cambodia. It is a temple complex, primarily, as well as sort of palatial grounds for the Khmer kings. The climate there is hot and humid.

My friend (Good Will Hunting) is going to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos for a month. I'll ask her about Angkor Wat and maybe she will let me share some photos if it doesn't involve me needing to talk to her on speaker phone :?

(I just texted her).

Be an archeologist or be an anthropologist?

Paleoanthropologist. I'd probably wouldn't do too well in the "digging" aspects of archaeology. It's hard to determine whether dirt is just dirt....or contains a significant component of a Cro-Magnon's diet.

They tend to date older fossils using Potassium/Argon. Carbon 14 is only for items more recent than like 20,000 BC or so.

Filtered sun, or overcast?

That's very impressive! I had such a hard time of carbon dating in Anthro class :(

Overcast 100%

If only the professor would have explained it in simple terms. It has to do with the "half life" of Carbon 14. If a fossil, say, has half of Carbon 12, and half of Carbon 14, I believe the fossil would be about 17,000 years old. I'd have to research this more.

The best professor is the professor who can explain difficult concepts in simplest terms.

Montessori Method, or Traditional Didactic Method?
