I'd rather be ignored. That way I can make up a benign justification, instead of hating myself or ruminating on the criticism.

I know Billy Idol better so I'll say Idol, although Shondells is truly better.

If the criticism is valid, I'd take criticism over being ignored.

I prefer the Shondells over Billy Idol, although I couldn't put either on my list of all-time favorites.
