Star also!

Christmas by miles. Actually, Christmas Eve is my favourite even more than Christmas Day.

I don't like the party / alcohol atmosphere of NYE. January 2 is much better.

I have trouble emotionally during the Christmas season, usually.

I like it when the whole holiday thing is over. January 2nd happens to be my birthday.

New Years Day is a time of relaxation for me. I don't drink on New Years Eve (except for a sip of champagne).

Piano, or Harpsichord?

I don't drink on NYE either, but I don't like knowing that so many people are drunk and crazed and acting like fools after the peaceful lull of Christmas. I always stay home and have a very quiet and safe / sober night, usually in my pyjamas.

Do you get much holiday time off from work? (I hope you don't work on your birthday) :(

Piano -- I don't know much about harpsichord.

chocolate or vanilla birthday cake? (mine is neither)

Chocolate----and vanilla LOL

Listen to Baroque music----and to Lurch playing on the Addams Family. That's a harpsichord.

Baroque décor, or Victorian décor?

Also, I'm sorry you have a difficult time during the holidays. :(
Feel free to reach out if you're having a bad day. I go through a lot of emotions, too!

I'm only vaguely familiar with either...

Can You Feel The Love Tonight

or

Every other Disney love song?

I like Baroque---but it gives me a headache. It's just "too much."

I like Victorian much better.

Prince William, or Prince Harry?

I like Fantasia (1940) myself. One of my dad's favorite films.

I actually did a quick google to look at Baroque when you asked, but I couldn't see much difference with Victorian.
What are the main differences?

Prince William shares my birthday but I like Harry as a rapscallion.

Can You Feel is an incredible song, Kura. As you know I adore Elton and Lion King!
(My runners-up would be from Beauty and the Beast).

Baroque is much more extravagant and dramatic than Victorian. Most definitely.

Baroque architecture can be epic in scope; Victorian architecture, while sometimes lavish, never gets really "epic" in he way Baroque architecture does. The differences are even more dramatic in sculpture and painting.

Pseudonym, or nom de plume?

I usually say pseudonym but I like nom de plume better

Thanks for the explanation. I was just thinking of furnishings when you asked. I'll google architecture.

Disco or R&B?

I like the "old" R & B much better than the "new" R & B.

The "new" R & B is sometimes too slow for me; and it sometimes is cynical as to relationships between men and women.

The "old" R & B led almost directly into early Rock 'N Roll.

I prefer the "old" R & B to disco; but I prefer disco to the "new" R & B.

50's street-corner doo-wop; or the 1960s psychedelic sound?

Thanks for the R&B lesson!

Barber shop, doo wop and street corner! I've heard some of the songs you post and I like them quite a bit!

Soft psychedelia is nice but doo wop is much better!

DH Lawrence or Henry Miller?

Lawrence, by a mile!! !! I feel like he had much more of a "moral center." And he was much better as a descriptive writer who had an aesthetic sense.

Anais Nin, or Erica Jong?
