I prefer drawing to painting. I was given a sketchbook recently from a classmate. Because of her I've started drawing again after many years away from art. It feels really nice to be back in touch with it.

Create as a reaction to the need to produce something or as a result of inspiration?

Definitely the latter. Producing for the sake of it makes empty art.

Taking classes/lessons/tutorials or just grabbing a brush/instrument and fiddling with it until something happens?
