Tromsø. City in northern Norway, nicknamed The Paris of the North. Ever since the 1800's ships have arrived at its harbor by the Atlantic, and it was known for being fashionable, and a trade center for Russians, Frenchmen, Germans and people from western Norway (Bergen).

Now, breaking protocol, here's:

Bastoy Island, Norway -- near Oslo, Norway, the home of a very unusual prison. There are no barbed wire walls or fences around the island to keep the prisoners in. The prisoners live in small houses and have jobs in areas such as agriculture, cooking, store keeping, and even operating ferry boats. The prisoners wake up on their own and fix their own breakfast and supper.
