Today was Science Friday again! As I may have mentioned some umpteen times before, Ira Flatow and Science Friday make me this happy:

At any rate, Science Friday is where I learned today's random fact of the day:

Last year NASA reported that images of certain gullies on Mars revealed bright mineral deposits, the pattern of which at the time appeared to indicate that liquid water had erupted from underground and then evaporated. However, new evidence reveals that these bright deposits are only present on very steep slopes, where such phenomena can be explained by minor (dry) landslides.

It's not just a site, either. It's on NPR. Over here on the west coast it is on from 11am to 1pm.

Sort of reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:

Other than in my car....I really don't know if I have a radio any more. :lol:

There's podcasts, so no big deal. Still....I need to find out if I even own a radio that's not attached to my vehicle....
