I think Scar's OK. He went to fetch more food. He may surprise us with what he brings back!

Love acorns. But softer fare such as chocolate cake too... Never tried catnip as I had an idea it was reserved for the cat species only.

I doubt the sprites are dangerous but their magic might be if unintentionally encountered...

Around here the raccoons, opossums and even the skunks have been known to get into the game. We have animals of all kinds here who keep the kitties on the tips of their little paws!

Scar seems to have left the pond. He's shy and all the felines make him feel like a lonely giant among Lilliputians.

Maybe the ducks will return now.

I'm scared! I'll just run up this tree to safety. Safety in heights I always say! Zarian you look tiny now, I can still see you though. Let me know when it's safe to come down... Cats always land on their soft little feet if they fall, don' t they?

I can make out a few tiny faces now, they have pointy ears and long silver hair that floats lazily on the water surface like weeds...

B-b-b-but my liddle footsies are precious! I don't want to hurt my paws! I'm a princess don't you know! Edges further along the branch...

At least you didn't land in the water.... Made a soft landing in some oak leaves. As befits a princess...

Can you hear he sprites singing now? Strains that sound high but as far away as the clouds, ancient and yet new. What could it portend?

There is a wind in the willows and late afternoon sunlight sparkles lazily on the horizon of Lake Brontë. Lo, the silhouette of a most singular female duck emerges from the haze! She shakes her feathers and paddles merrily toward the shoreline, hoping to meet her animal friends! Alas! She quacks and bobs most happily today!

The felines and squirrel on the bank welcome as-yet unnamed duck. Do you want to share our picnic snacks?

Zandrian scampers playfully, russet tail high in the air while the cats dash madly around him, their vivid eyes wide with wonder.

Behold! The little duck whose name is Emily approaches shore. Bearing the colours of earth and gentle moss upon her plumage, she blends most obsequiously among the reeds whilst nary making a sound. She observes the group cautiously but given time to reflect, now feels encouraged to ruffle her feathers and be seen. "I am Emily!", she calls with a haunting allusion to Brontë's timeless quote "I am Heathcliff!" The tiny mallard is proud to identify herself and thus, she paddles forth toward feeli0, whose character's name she scarce recalls.

Quackenbush, a most refined Duck, is swaying to Swan Lake.

He wishes he was as Composed as Strauss.

And Figure (8’s) is his Forte.

Emily and Quackenbush circle each other slowly in a strauss-like water dance, whilst simultaneously progressing toward the golden shore. They wade through dense foliage and near the rugged coast, which is rocky yet most glorious in its creation. Emily is first to step forth, and she blinks with happiness at the group who has bid her to join. They are her friends, indeed!

Quackenbush, glorying in the scene, and glad Emily is with her friends, repairs to the Eddy, so he may benefit from the rocking and spinning.

He needs this sort of stimulation from time to time.
