The next person likes house plants?

No, not really- I feel a bit sorry for them because they tend to dry out and get dust on their leaves. I like to see plants out in the garden. (I'm not keen on cut flowers, either.)

The next person likes insects- praying mantises, stick insects, beetles, cicadas, etc.

I don't particularly like or dislike them, but I do find them fascinating and like to watch them.

The next person dislikes wasps. (shudder).

Well, I don't want to keep one as a pet, but they're interesting, especially the ones that hunt spiders as as a living larder for their young.

The next person likes spiders. (I do, although here in Australia we have some particularly venomous ones.)

Yes, there has been one living under the shelf above my computer for a while but it seems to have gone walkabout today.

The next person has one or more carnivorous plants. I've got a venus fly trap and a pitcher plant.

No, but I've always admired them. My grandmother used to have a terrific little succulent plant that produced a large, ugly mottled pink flower that smelt bad and attracted flies- it used to fascinate me as a kid. I'd also like to see the giant Rafflesia flower of Malaysia, which flowers rarely and smells like raw meat- very interesting!

Well I love them just as much I love every other class of animals, I'm more of a plant person really.

Yes and no. Yes when I'm reading English, no when I'm reading French (for reasons too long to explain).

The next person likes to read sci-fi and non-fiction.

Well sci-fi not so much but non-fiction definitely. I mostly read articles and e-books, apart from my language courses books.


The next person loves to ride bicycle in the countryside.

Not a sci-fi fan here.... fiction in general almost.... but I do enjoy non-fiction a lot.

Well actually every available Torrent that hasn't been hacked, but using Gutenberg is a great idea, might try it out!

(I'd recommend an eBook reader to use with Gutenberg but it would compromise my anonymity )

Yes, there is a sense of mystery in not knowing where on is. Sometimes when driving I head off down unknown country roads just to see where they go and get totally lost. I just know I'll eventually find a signpost pointing to somewhere I do know and can pick up my bearings again.

The next person prefers reading text on screen rather than on paper.

Absolutely, less strain on the back, easier to manoeuvre, however causing monitor induced headaches as well (one occurring right now actually) - probably due to the way this monitor has been pixelated. (No worries about e-book reader, trying out Gutenberg is quite enough for start. )


The next person's favourite parts of the day are dawn and dusk.

I'm not a morning person so don't often see the dawn. However, I love to sit outside and watch the sun go down. Observe the stillness and silence to envelope the garden and birds and the occasional bat flying past.

Nah, I'm too lazy for that. However dawns at the seaside are worth getting up for. I love the stillness and quietude of the dusk and the night.
