Spanish is the most useful language to know here, at least that I've seen. But not for money. Besides, even if you are able to speak a language doesn't mean you'll say the right things.

In truth, The Top Three Languages that US Government have interest in are Chinese, Korean, and Arabic. Japanese is up there as well but those three languages will more likely ensure you a governmental position. Personally I would learn Korean and Japanese because I practiced Kumdo and would like to go to Japan one day.
