After hurtling skywards for several minutes TallyMan collides with an airliner and is carried in the lead then falls back to Earth, miraculously landing onto the back of a motorbike ahead of you.

I arrive from some vague corner of the galaxy, descending through the night sky in a space-faring craft. Using a powerful magnet, I pluck the thread from TallyMan's hands and carry it off to some dark realm beyond the stars.

Unfortunately or should that be fortunately: You failed to cut the thread and I am dragged behind you into the distant realm. When you finally stop my momentum keeps me hurtling forward and beyond you - at the last moment I cut the thread and sail even further into the distance!

Oh man, that is unfortunate. I really should have remembered to do that. Now you're way out of reach. I guess I'll just have to make a pair of wings out of moonlight and phlogiston and then soar right after you.

I've just pulled into an intergalactic service station for a break. There is a chance you may temporarily overtake me while I relax and watch a movie on TV.

No worries but shite (too late again), I wrote a kinda long and silly reply which doesn't make any sense anymore, posting it now.

Um, short tailed hairballs.

Win?

Long-tailed hairballs are, I believe, vastly superior to the short-tailed variety.

I guess you're right (I was referring to 'Bunnies!! !'). Um, I still have long hair myself (for it suits me).... and thus I win by a hair length.

(huh?)

Yeah, I'm more a fan of gerbils, rats and the like than I am bunnies.

Being a long-haired galoot* myself, I challange your claim to victory based on hair length.

*I've no idea how widespread this word is, but it's what old Scottish grannies used to yell** at people with long hair in the seventies.

**One of many things they used to yell, most of the others being unsuitable for printing in this thread due to their insensitivity.

I've never heard of a galoot but folks here in the flower power days called long haired men 'nozems'. I think it's kinda the same.

And mmmm, I once saw a picture you've posted of yourself here on WP and you'd win this contest based on hair length if it's still that long.

Ok, you win. But be alert of folks posting after you, will you. :D

Oh, but if I stop how will I be able to spam my way to a larger post-count? :D

Nah, it's not that long anymore. That was unmanageable.

Good idea! I shall disguise this shameless post-count boosting thread beneath the thin disguise of some sort of game.

Hmm...

...

... a contest of civility and politeness maybe? :cheese:

no, you should call it 'post count boost' cause you want to attract people who do it with you , otherwise you 'll have to wait for days before anyone replies, that would'nt be much of a boosting, would it?

so can i win in silence now ?
