Would you give up your claim to the thread in exchange for cheese?

 I just did. I've spent the last few minutes making some cheese on toast with a splash Worcester sauce and a good sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper.

I'd sell my soul for some good cheese.

Robert Johnson? Google says he was a blues singer... Hmmmm.

Not sure, maybe my recollection is a tad off here but I thought it was been said that R. Johnson sold his soul to the devil. Or he sang about doing such a thing. McTell probably knows better.

And Lemon, I'm sorry I interfered earlier (seems you didn't like it), I meant no harm. Just me 'doing' silly. Maybe I'm misreading here but no hard feelings, I hope.

Next wins.

I'm next so I win. Excellent. I don't need to post any more. Quite a dilemma:
1. Cheese.
2. Soul
3. Win this thread.

Difficult choice.

Does anyone notice that it's the same bunch of folks who usually post in this thread? I wonder what all the other members think?

That's the story anyway. He had plenty of songs about the devil, and the legends say that he went down to a crossroads one night and let the devil tune his guitar in exchange for his soul.

It seems to be true of all the game threads in this forum, I've noticed each has a particular preference for particular threads or types of thread. I quite like this thread; not serious and a chance to exchange a few words with others and play a sort of verbal chess sometimes. It's more of a chat thread really.

I understand now... and the devil strung the guitar with cheese wire?

I agree with TallyMan- this thread is pleasantly pointless and allows for some odd conversational topics to spring up. Where else would anyone be discussing devils, souls and cheese?

Plus, I get to win- for a while, at least. :star:
