Lets all just take it in turns... (I'm going to assume there's alot, I don't think theres hardly in London, they are all just governments )

I moved from England to France 4 1/2 years ago and just couldn't believe the difference in bureaucracy. France has an unbelievable number of organisations who's sole function is to play with paperwork and generate more paperwork for other completely useless organisations.

The French authorities are quick to tax me and gather as many charges as they can from me; but when it comes to joining their health system the paperwork is astounding. Over four years they have asked for a copy of my birth certificate no less than eight times! The other day I finally got my Carte Vitale after a four year wait, which is the official acceptance of me into their health system... except they got my name wrong adding adding an extra word to my surname. They also got my date of birth wrong. All of which makes the card completely useless and I've got to send it back. The level of incompetence is astounding.

I swear that if a group of Frenchmen were on a sinking ship instead of getting into the lifeboats they would organise an evacuation committee, vote who should be in charge, then ballot everyone on the course of action to take, then create sub committees to decide who should be in charge of the lifeboats, who should organise the lifebelts and create an organisation to inspect the safety of the lifeboats and also request paperwork from anyone wanting to get on a lifeboat including their passport, birth certificate and supporting documentation from their great grand parents. Finally, nobody will be allowed to get onto any lifeboats between noon and 2pm while everyone goes for lunch.
