However, the 1980 Olympics also were the Games of Sebastian Coe and Miruts Yifter. I didn't get to see either because there was no coverage of the Games on television that year.

Speaking of which, the "Pepsi Generation" commercials with Micheal Jackson, and hearing how his hair was accidentally set on fire.

When the new Coke came out sometime in 1985, people couldn't get the old Coke for four months. The people were angry that the company decided to change the formula which had been around for almost 100 years. In fact, the staff at the headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia had to hire people to handle the thousands of angry calls that were coming in every day. Eventually, they ultimately decided to bring back the original beverage back, now calling it Coca-Cola Classic.
