was pleased with the nice gold leaf that I offered as a change from his normal ruby scales, but decided to stick with a colour he was comfortable with.

choked on all those "little bones" in my foot, last year, which is why he's letting me off for a year.

(The wooden leg is fine, but this parrot can't hold a proper conversation at all - it just keeps saying "pieces of eight" again and again.)

is able to fly, thanks to hollow bones and hydrogen gas sacs (as discussed in the "Animal Planet" special on dragons)...

...but still having trouble with the whole lair-full-of-gold-and-magical-items thing.
