I remember that film, it was quite a shocker at the time, probably too predictable and lame by today's standards. I clearly remember the end when Ernest Borgnoine? submitted himself to die and sat in the cinema watching a film of countryside and deer jumping while listening to Beethoven's Pastoral symphony. Sad film. Anyway...

Is a purveyor of sad films.

After quitting his job as a sporklift operator, he got another job as the
Wizard of Ooze at the Imipolex G complex....

(By the way it was Edward G.Robinson who played the part of the "Book man" who gets himself euthanized...
it was the last movie he ever played in, he died shortly after the filming was completed.)

(I think I know where my memory smudged ... wasn't the lead played by, duh, what is his name, the guy who played as Jim Rockford in the Rockford files and his sidekick was Ernest Borgnoine in that.)

Has an extensive library of film knowledge and trivia while mine is stored on decaying grey matter.

A prankster put superglue on the top rung of his library ladder and he has been waiting ten years for the fire brigade to come and rescue him. He has had to live on a diet of cookery books washed down with wine guides.
