any inappropriate contact with a youth given today's climate
even an innocent friendship is perilous.
This is so true. And, it's a shame, because those of us who are older can provide excellent sources of friendship and guidance to young people.

First of all, I am sorry about what happened to you. I can understand how uneasy you feel. I have to say that sometimes when we have been through it, we can sense when something is just not right. I would not go to the police since you have no proof, but I would definitely distance myself from him. Although I agree our society is sometimes overly sensitive, I think going into any sex site today, when there is indeed the potential that there will be minors, is risky in itself.
PS - I have a neighbor who disrespected me and I let it go for about 6 months. As time passed, I felt more uneasy around him. A few older women told me "he gave them the creeps, that there was something wrong with the guy". He has befriended every lawyer that lives here although he is not a lawyer himself, heck, he works at the SSA office. He is also very close with people who have kids. Someone saw him also take pics of the girls, ie. young girls, while playing volleyball at he sand volleyball court and he is the ONLY man I ever see that ALWAYS has a camera at every event, not a BIG camera, like someone who is a professional and loves photography, just a regular camera...and is ALWAYS taking pictures of people, women, kids, etc...I think he is a pedophile, no doubt and thus the reason he has befriended every single lawyer here...the lawyers of course know how I feel but actually defend him...
Sorry to hijack this, but wanted to let you know that I have been there and honestly, I do believe if you feel that something is off, it is probably off.
