I don't think she's paranoid (and even if she was, it wouldn't change the fact that her living situation causes her great distress). This is simply what a noisy, stressful environment can do to a person on the autism spectrum after a while. Add to that potential bullying and snide comments by neighbors -- that's how NTs seem to react to a person who appears strange and weird to them -- and the problems with her family that she talks about in other videos, and you have a living hell. I feel for this poor woman.

I wish there were more residential communities and housing projects for less socially functional people on the spectrum, where we could live among our own people and assist each other. It's horrible that so many social outcasts and recluses live on a disability pension without anything to do, anything to take their mind off their loneliness and their hopeless situation. So why not bring them together? Even someone like me who is unable to work could make himself useful in such an environment by helping those who are worse off, for example by assisting them with grocery shopping. It would give people a community and a purpose.

Well, I sent her a polite message on Youtube, and also invited her here. I told her I don't think they are doing that "at her" etc. She said they were and have been for over 20 years! Invited me to send her a PM, but it was blocked.

Look, all I can say is crazy crazy crazy, and that's NOT AS. Thats a normal, fairly quiet suburban street. Nutcase other than AS. Needs psychiatric help for real.

And now she's telling me in her message from Youtube that she is being bullied and harrassed by them.

Jesus Christ. My driving a car or riding a bike down a street can be perceived as bullying? That's seriously crazy.

Btw, it is possible that she has an AS diagnosis and an undiagnosed, comorbid paranoid schizophrenia.

To me she seems like she is crazy and paranoid and possibly could be reacting so strongly from ptsd from past bullying.

She really needs to move somewhere with less people and more quiet if these things aggravate her so much. You can't expect people to tiptoe around and whisper just so they don't bother you. Most of the time these people are just going about living their life and aren't even purposely doing anything to bother anyone. People just want to live their lives.

I live by a bar which is annoying with the music and people standing outside talking but they aren't doing that to bother me and don't even know I'm here. I remember when I use to go to bars it never even occurred to me that I might be noisy and disturbing people that lived near the bar.

Edit: I don't believe these people are harassing her on purpose but I can tell she is very distressed and hope she gets to move someplace quieter.

To me, she sounds really paranoid, and possibly has PTSD from previous bullying incidents in her life. Someone driving down the street, especially near business isn't bullying anyone, as they were going to and from that auto shop. I only hope she can find a more quiet place to live, one that's away from businesses and even schools.

After seeing the film about the "honking forklift" I think that the woman is being unreasonable about the fork lift.

While the audio level on the tape is not a perfect guide to how loud something is in real life I do not think that the fork lift truck noise during the normal working day is unreasonable. If a group of people were having fork lift truck races up and down the road or were working all night with the fork lift then it would be clearly unreasonable.

While the fork lift did honk its horn at least once in the film, we could not see the truck at the time. While you should only honk the horn on a car/truck/etc only as a emergency/safety measure to warn someone else that you are there it is impossible from the film to know why the fork lift honked the horn. Maybe someone in the warehouse looked like they were about to step into the path of the fork lift ? Who knows.

Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.

Necro bump I know. I just happened to run across her blog and she does indeed have PTSD so this may explain her behavior and I remember someone here suggesting she may have it. I don't think she is schizophrenic. Just paranoid due to the PTSD.

I think this is all so sad and I have noticed she has disabled all the comments for her videos.
