Thanks for being part of the discussion. And no I'm not part of the Royal Anthropological Institute, (RAI) for the study of culture in the UK either. I live in the US.

I'm not part of any organization that studies people like the Royal Institute of Anthropology (RAI) in the UK or part of any advocate organization for Autism.

If you must know the truth, I'm an autistic person using a computer to help me communicate issues that I think are of interest regarding autism, on a support website for Autistic people.

I have stood up for the rights of an Autistic person, not to be personally attacked here, I'm not quite sure what that has to do with putting women in their place; I don't see why anyone should be personally attacked here by calling them names regardless of the gender of the parties involved.

I have stated before here that I have an anthropology degree, worked in archaeology for a short period of time, and have been heavily involved in a Neanderthal/Autism discussion here lately, but I promise you I don't live in the UK. I hope I don't have to provide evidence for that too. If that's not what you mean you'll have to clarify what you are talking about.

Hopefully you aren't actually suggesting something so bona-fide idiotic as we are somehow more closely related to neanderthals. From what I know anyone not born in africa has neanderthal DNA in them. So if we say that everything you associate with this 'autism' is somehow true then everyone outside africa has mild social retardation. Also I am probably going to see some contrivances in a moment and then obfuscation and then irrelevance.

You can look at that exchange, if you like in the mathematics, technology section of the forum on a discussion of Neanderthals, Paleontology, and Autism. That suggestion is there in that conversation; My opinion is there is that there is no evidence for that, only a correlation of Neanderthal genes that are currently suggested by science to be in 9% of the population outside of the ethnic people of Africa. There are some suggestions in science that some of the Neanderthal gene variants are associated with Autism, but no direct cause there either.

The suggestion there in that thread is that Neanderthals were as smart and possibly smarter than humans at that time, and some suggest that it is proof of a difference in highfunctioning Autism affected by neanderthal DNA. And just to clarify again, the current research on this does not indicate that everyone outside of Africa has Neanderthal DNA, instead 9% from the study of over 6,000 specimens of DNA throughout the world, published this Summer. There is a link there in that thread if you would like to see that specific study.

The thread that discusses it is close to the top, in the Mathematics/Technology forum titled a reasonable discouse on autism and paleoanthropology. It's over 25 pages long and has been going on for several months now. If you like I can provide a link to that too, but it's hard to miss if you look in mathematics/technology forum of this website.
