I've seen that skit before and didn't find it demonizing, I thought of it as a "positive satire".

Also I'm not big on this "Autistics vs NT" sectarianism myself.

I also thought this was classic.

It's not positive, and not intended to be. It works, because many people resemble these remarks.

I'm not against laughing at myself every now and then; I think that's a better attitude to have than getting offended over everything.

I found the video funny and I love the onion,

Grow a set guys, you can still represent autism correctly in real life and have a sense of humor. Can people not tell what is fantasy and reality?

This is my fav onion video,

I love Peter Rosenthal.

They are making fun of people who make fun of autistic people and distorted views of autism...

I think that socially awkward people are frequently the subject of comedy . I have seen comedy sketches where characters seemed to stereotypically have Asperger syndrome , or some other developmental disorder , only they were not specifically identified as such . For example https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ek4-xXgx8XI , https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=59w6fzjamU0 , https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LBaZ2BNp9tk , https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHK9tb8e4gsV4CJNhmCXeOABAddp8u2ew . Only people seem to think that Tourette syndrome is fair game , and reference it by name . https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pAWSvA4NEfE

This is a caricature, or exaggeration, not intended to be literal.
