Despite the title, not a thread about the government of Aspergia. Well, sort of.

I'm been recently musing on the concept of non-territorial states in relation to micronations, which led to reading about the Central Tibetan Administration. The CTA appears to me to be a possible model for a serious micronational effort, providing it's "citizens" with a lot of the benefits that are provided by governments (healthcare, education etc). In a lot of ways, unions are similar.

So when I say Central Aspergia Administration (though I'd prefer to call it something like the Association for Autist Advancement), I'm talking about something like that - an organisation that exists to increase the standard of living of Autists. Such an organisation might offer business skills training and finance to members wishing to start their own businesses, provide job skills training, and run it's own schools. Maybe it will even get to the point where it's providing for the development of Autist communities, lowering the cost of living and allowing for people to not be so much at the mercy of government subsidy if they don't want to live with their parents.

I reckon such a thing could start pretty quickly if there's the will to do it. Is there?

Aspergian government is divided into 2 classes Choosers and the Chosen. But which class is the higher class?

While an "Aspie Agency" is not in and of itself a problem, creating all of such an organization may be a few steps removed from the current capabilities of the community, at this time.

I think a good first step would be building ethier a public relations base (a website) or a fundraising base, which pretty much are interchangable these days.

How would the proposed public relations website differ from the current website of the Autistic Self Advocacy Network?

I was speaking to concept indicated in the OP. ASAN is an very successful pro-neurodiversity public outreach group, but they may not be the best suited to provide the array of services and functions that the OP evisioned.

The public relations website would be expanded into general disabilities advocacy.

Finance would likely be the greatest barrier, since in all likelihood the individuals with the spare cash around to fund this would also be the ones to gain least from it. The large number of AS people who aren't able to support themselves or don't make much money could cause a lot of strain, since as the Admin wouldn't actually be a nation all contributions would of course be voluntary, so I imagine it's scope would have to be limited and focused on particular objectives, means-tested goals etc.

What the OP envisioned is "business skills training and finance to members wishing to start their own businesses, provide job skills training, and run it's own schools".
The ASAN provides an Autism Campus Inclusion training:

The ASAN also provides internship opportunities with Freddie Mac:

Couldn't business skills training and job skills training be provided by the ASAN in the future?
