How do you make a march madness bracket?

This is the first time that I will be filling one out. I am going into a pool with at least 30 other people (through my grandpa's work). I have found 2 good articles about statistics on seeds.

I can't find a good website for comparing teams or even finding statistics about each team. And it seems hard to not just go with the top seeds every single time, I mean they are supposed to win so why wouldn't I put that? The only thing I know I am putting is that 1st and second seeds are winning the first round, and that missouri is going to make it to the final four at least.

Hopefully someone on here has filled out a lot of brackets or has done this before. Most people would probably say I am overthinking it, even though it is practically impossible I do not want it to be wrong at all so I have barely started.

some tips for selecting winners:

teams with a strong interior tend to beat up on teams without a legit big man inside

take note of who won't be playing due to injury or suspension (both Indiana and Syracuse will be without a key player)

senior heavy teams tend to do well

teams that didn't do well in their conference probably won't do well in the tournament

use games against similar teams as a reference point (e.g. - Missouri lost to Kansas State twice, a sign that they don't match up well with a team that does well inside the paint)

pay attention to streaks; which teams were the hottest or coldest over the past few weeks
