These are good for you in the sense, when you are in dire need of nutrition, for example before or after a workout is when they are best used, or if you are unhealthy and have nothing to eat or drink that is good for you. To think that this is just going to replace your vegetables and fruit servings is illogical, but for some reason in this day and age it is considered not by a large population. It's like if you get all of your protein from protein powders. People who do that will not be as healthy as people who get their protein from actual food.

Some times, when I throw up, I'll have a drink of something similar to this with milk, and I find it does help me feel a bit better, usually anyways. It's great for that, because I just threw up a bunch of vitamins and minerals, and also need to rehydrate. After about an hour or so of digesting that, I choose fruits high in antioxidants such as berries which taste good, and/or some kind of salad I like.

Also, these bags of "superfood" tend to be very expensive for what they offer. You could buy yourself a nice juicer or blender for the price of two-three bags, and make your own tasty cost effective juices and other drinks in seconds, which is way better than any expensive bag of powder could do for you.

It depends on what you mean by "fancy". If the exact same beef is used, there is no distinction. If the "fancy" hamburger is made from a cow that ate grazed on grass in a field as opposed to the fast food beef which is corn-based and full of antibiotics and hormones, there is a huge difference. Organioc chemistry doesn't care about the shape, but it cares quit a bit about the actual components.

Yep! It makes a huge difference. We are what we eat and this applies to animals...

That's as true as it is irrelevant.

why do people with allergies avoid meat that is from animals with traces of antibiotics? It makes a difference for these people due to their allergic reaction to certain antibiotics. If it wasn't strong enough, they wouldn't be sensitive to it. Doctors advise us not to take antibiotics without a medical reason, so why is different when it comes to eating food with antibiotics? I really don't know so I am asking someone that might comprehend the difference.

While many supplements are only useful in small doses; the fear of antibiotics, hormones and genetic modification have been repeatedly shown to be false; as have all health, taste and 'sustainability' claims of organic farming.

The body does not care if it is a digestable protein; it is more than capable of reducing it to small components in the stomach and release it into the blood.

Organic food tastes much nicer. It makes fruit taste edible to me.

Depends on what you eat if its bad for you. Also the reaction mechanism of it or what you are reacting together. Drinking water with something that has a Carboxylate will product you a Carboxylate acid. This carboxylate acid will create an acid with then can react with an amine group to give you an amino acid. This will then be created into a neuron or will using one of the forces into the cell neuron, one of the many I might add which will make you feel a whole lot better and more productive.

I also eat this for breakfast: http://www.myprotein.com/uk/products/total_breakfast but I figure most people will have worked out their breakfast.

The liver cares. It has to break down all the crap that is toxic and forcing it to do that too much causes liver damage.

In addition, a problem unique to antibiotics in the food supply is the breeding of antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria in the animals' bodies. Then we get food poisoning with drug resistant bacteria.

The British also discovered what it means when you force cows to become cannibals by putting cow remains in their food. "Mad Cow Disease" (a prion disease-not blaming that on antibiotics) is what happens.

It matters what animals eat if we eat them. It matters what plants are dusted with if we eat them. Yes, you can wash your fruits and vegetables. But that only works if you are the person preparing the fruits and vegetables.

No, it doesn't. Psychosomatic. They have done dozens of double-blind tests and no one could tell the difference; and they could easily be tricked by given food that wasn't organic, but told it was, and they would then claim it tasted better even though it was just a f*****g Chiquita banana.

The whole thing is a scam to get government subsidies for wasteful farming projects and to use the media's pseudo-science and the Watermelon Cult (Green on the outside, Red in the middle) to act as advertising. A racket pure and simple, and you're tools to it.

To me it tastes much better. Did they test people with autistic sensitivity?

No, there isn't. You're referring to media pseudo-science. Sorry, not all of us are afraid of chemicals ;)
Organic food retardery is ret*d.

I didn't used to be afraid of chemicals either. But it turns out the damage is cumulative. I can't undo what I did when I was young, but at least I can stop doing it. I'm glad to see some younger members here making sounder choices at a young age. I wish I had when I was that age too.

How dare you insult the repair mechanisms available to the cells of a vast majority of the species! Do you realize that the simplification and lie-to-children about many cumulative poisons are simply because of slow removal?

I should tell you that there is a chemical that cancer cells consume. In fact, untreated cancer cells will gradually use more and more of this chemical. It is called dihydrogen monoxide, and it is the substance people put into swimming pools, use on toilets, is given to most animals to keep them viable for longer periods of time, and utilize with fertilizers on plants. The consumption or presence of it can cause asphyxiation, is associated with cancers in nearly 15% of people, can cause scalding, increases urine output, is associated with the process of dying, and is associated with death in above 90% of the human species. I might add that it is found in car exhausts and factory emissions. It can become a potent greenhouse gas and is an erosive agent. An alternate term for it that we use today could be restated as alkahest to the medieval alchemists.

Have you seen the structures of the proteases utilized? They are beautiful, remind me of new clothes (pull off the tags or mother will deny leaving the house), and are indiscriminate tools of the destruction of proteins. Do you know why there are convenient, "tags," that require removal to operate? These proteases would have little trouble digesting the protein components of the cells that produce them. That is why they are made in the inactive state. Mucus is secreted for extra protection, and surely it is obvious that acids are not the most effective agents of the destruction of the stomach lining.

I should like to know what happens when the berries do not taste good or are very sour. By the way, vomit does not necessarily carry that much nutritional value. If vomiting gets to the point that you have a routine for it, it may be occurring too frequently

I do not argue with that, powders do not feel good to the tongue, but the powders were made with greater precision (not necessarily accuracy).

I presume that now would be a bad time to bring up natural pesticides and oleander? Observe the oleander and how a few leaves of very organic oleander can be painfully lethal. To be an insufferable nitpicker, I might add that DDT is organic despite it containing chlorine. Even the dreadful organophosphates with their reputations as powerful toxins are still organic. Organic bitter almonds can be lethal by producing cyanide when metabolized. To stretch the organic-natural advertising, it is possible to say that arsenic, poison dart frog poisons, and the botulinum toxin are all natural. Will you now reject the wisdom of progress and consume any (especially bitter almonds) of these?

I hope you realized your grave error in nomenclature. Even an inorganic chemist will tell you that the an -ate is the conjugate of the -ic acid, not the -ate acid.

It should be noted that as important and interesting as proteins are, there is a requirement for a convenient energy supply (the brain utilizes glucose almost exclusively) and a structural material that forms the membrane. Lipids, with which you are likely familiar in the form of fats and oils, compose the cellular membranes of all known and confirmed life. (Do not drag viruses into the argument.)

This part was considered undecipherable, even with the SEER algorithm. (Please do not ask me about my more fantastic projects.)

Some neurons can fire and end up causing the neural circuit to increase its level of the emotion named, "misery." They are the ones that transmit pain. Substances like piperine and capsaicin can cause variants of their inputs that lead to the sensation of burning pain, which still means that some neurons are firing quickly and strongly. I doubt that most people, regardless of the severity of autism, dislike pain and consider it a nuisance that diverts much attention away from work . Neural stimulation is not necessarily a good thing.

I do not intend offense, I just want people to stop embarrassing themselves with poorly understood copy-paste arguments. I do not mind intelligent debate, but I experience an odd anger and pity when something close to my long-term special interest is violated in a terrible way. People should think for themselves and learn on their own figurative two feet, and conformity is something about which this site is not.

I'm just gonna point out that pizza is a vegetable, so if you want a "cheat" for eating more veg, you can't get any better than that.

That is all.
