I can empathize with the liking salty things. I can enjoy a glazed donut as much as the next person, but my lust is for salty and spicy things.

I think it's essential to mention that this type of lifestyle isn't too healthy for a normal individual.

Right, because normal people are made healthy with animal products, oil, sugar, and fast food?

Some types of oil are extremely healthy and not to mention cheap. While I'm still in college, I can't afford to be healthy without eating a lot of fish, eggs and whey protein either.

Interesting- I find those things to be pretty expensive.

I've fixed my diet since late last year. I eliminated soda, sweets, and processed foods and really limit dairy and grains.
I eat meat, eggs, vegetables, and some fruit.

The healthiness of animal products (meat and fat) is determined by how healthy the animal is. The healthier the animal, the better it is for you and the sicker the animal is, the more likely it is to make you sick. And the same thing can be said about plant foods.

I think my strict portion control means that I get full too quickly, I didn't get up until the afternoon today so I was ravenous. Apparently a honey and banana sandwich for breakfast is too much.

A can of tuna in brine can be found for as low as 30 cents and a dozen of eggs can be found for as low as a buck. For comparison, eggs are never cheaper than 4 bucks a dozen here in Norway and averages roughly 6 bucks.

Whey protein is cheap in Norway because it's very high in demand in Scandinavia, Baltikum and Eastern-Europe because of the popularity of strongman and bodybuilding and is basically a waste product of the Norwegian cheese industry. You can, however, get 25 lbs of rice protein for roughly 100 dollars in the states.

No, when did I say that?

It's fine to eat animal products as long as you don't eat them in excess and choose good sources of meat.

But your habits aren't very healthy for a normal individual. You have to realize that, at least.

Again, I never said being a vegan is a unhealthy lifestyle.

The American VAT is just between 0 and 13% and you only pay 3.91 per gallon of gas. The government is letting you get away pretty easily, I'd say. Here in Norway, an estimated 70% of a man's salary goes to the government in terms of taxes and fees.

Four dollars is still extremely cheap. The Scandinavian VAT of 25% is also very hard to beat.
