NFL Free agency opens today.

Giants flush with cap room and desperate on defense. Sorta of glad Mario Williams is on the way to Miami and not here. Hoping the Giants go after whichever of Vernon or Wake the Dolphins are likely to let go of. Cameron Wake/JPP sounds like a good pass rush to me.

Colts are retiring number 18.

Ravens CB Tray Walker has died in a dirt bike accident. He was only 23. :(

RIP Tray Walker :( I remember when Sean Taylor passed away tragically in '07... can't believe it will be almost ten years from that time. Anyways, I've been trying to get back into football, but it really doesn't interest me. I prefer low scoring, more defensive games. Rather than the high octane, break every record imaginable that the NFL is now. Also I'm still not okay with Michael Vick. * I know he paid his due in jail * I'm just not okay with a man who thought dog fighting would be okay.

I'm not surprised Peyton retired, he has another Super Bowl ring. Almost every QB record you could want in a career. I'm more surprised about Lynch and Johnson retiring.

^Like MLB Patrick Willis. I guess they wanted to retire while they still had their health.

I agree with you on Michael Vick. Some things are just not forgivable. He's a free agent again.

That seems about right, I don't want more people like Brett Favre. Playing up to the point where a concussion takes them out. Earl Campbell is another guy that comes to mind because of the way he played. Man thinking about the history of the NFL makes me want to compiled quasi-roster of all time greats.

Brady needs to retire NOW before he joins the previously mentioned Farve club^.
IIRC, he'll be 40 at the start of the next NFL season and will begin failing fast. Infact he looked pretty slow getting up after sacks during this past season.

Maybe, or he could be acting slow to make people think he is injured. Jim Brown RB for the Browns was know for doing just that.
