I just been realizing how many of my problems are being exacerbated with not taking medication properly by skipping doses sometimes and not taking it at the same times. I have a problem with medication compliance.

It isn't fair to keep lobbing it at your head but I hope it is okay to say this at least once more babybird

I like you so much.

I've been in awe of you since I joined this site.

I'm so worried about you.

I'm so distressed by the pain you've been in, physically and emotionally.

I'm so much looking forward to the day you feel okay.

When I say 'please take care' it is a sincere request, not something polite.

Please keep warm. Please eat yummy food. Please enjoy the season :star:

These are things I want to say selfishly, not altruistically, because I think you are wonderful. I'm so glad to have met you.

The world is so much better because you are in it. That is what I think and feel.

So... please take care and have nice things

Do you have your MRI results yet? It is just a question that means 'thinking of you' :)

I think that's a really good realisation to have, Brian0787.

Do you have strategies for becoming more compliant with your medication regime?

Thank you for saying :) I think just making mental notes that this is something I have to take and to remember to take it everyday and at the same times.

That sounds like a good approach, Brian0787. I hope it makes a big difference to you. Please let us know how it goes.

Thank you Jakki. Thanks you so much
I'm doing a lot better these last couple of days
Had no news from the MRI and I'm taking that as a good sign

Went to the health suite yesterday and had a lovely sauna and that helped with the pain for a while so I'll go there again

The physio also gave me loads of breathing exercises to do for the anxiety I get with the pain and that's helped me massively. I didn't realise I wasn't breathing properly after the "relapse"
So I've sorted that out now

Still sleeping propped up but I've just found that to be easier and I don't mind compromising if it's more comfortable

I'll be interested to see my MRI results but I'm not too worried about it being anything that can't be fixed with rest. Rest is key

Take care of yourself as well Jakki

I've recently started to really enjoy sticking my finger nails deep into the sole of my foot

It relieves so much tension

It kind of works similarly on the palm of my hand but not as intense

The thing I have noticed is that if I stick my left thumb nail into the palm of my right hand, it helps with the old back ache

Swonderful so it is

Some interesting observations BB,
Most of the time I'm digging fingers into the arthritic spots on my wrist/thumb, but there are a few palm aches where nails are best.
I'm wary of scratching deep itches in my legs because I can feel the edges of the plastic tubing reinforcing my arteries and I worry about tearing things loose.
The nails in the sole of the feet are good, although I prefer using some surt of tool, but I only get a few seconds of relief before leg cramps force me to unbend.
At least leg cramps respond to walking.
When I get simultaneous abdominal/spinal cramps my only option is to drop to the floor and roll around.

it's almost too much mate and (for some reason) my first instinct isn't to reach for the painkillers

Sort of coming to terms with the reality that this new level of discomfort/pain or whatever is permanent. I think that's worse than the actual pain itself

The only complaint I have about having to sleep propped up is that I have to sleep propped up.
Apart from that I do actually get a good quality sleep and I think it's because there's nothing irritating the nerves and whatnot

I've learned that it's the intercostal muscles that are always spasming and that's causing all the nerve pain around my ribs and back
I'm not expecting it to get better because I don't wanna build my hopes up but the best I can do is learn how to live in peace with it

It's easy to forget that it's my body that's doing this and not some separate entity attacking me

It must be a relief for you to have discovered the source of some of your breathing issues Jakki
You keep popping them painkillers if you need them as well.

I've still not heard about my results but my physio doesn't work until Thursday and Friday so I'll be patient for a bit longer but the longer it takes, the less worried I am

Take care of yourselves guys
Lots of love

Yes ,babybird, one of the first things I look for in myself, in a nutrition weirdness going on , even before I see a Doc.
But am not really fond of Docs, but I go to pick their brains if they will allow it . And blood tests if need be. Not wanting to use the word old, But as time has passed seen " Way more than my fair Share of Docs . Due to this or that sneaking up on me .And worse I do not want someone "not living" in my body putting labels on me.So I research evrything. And go out of my way to discount anything that doesnt apply to the situation."A cold is just a cold" .But on the nutritional weirdness ,Am aware that the stuff ,We get for groceries everyday , maynot be the best quality of products available.
So imagine a cupboard or 2 full of types of vitamins and supplements. To help address deficiencies that might get caused by stuff NOT in my diet.(Years of research and collecting stuff ).Then take a older ER doc ,retired, starting his own highly refined Preventative healthcare practice .And he mainly treatedpatients,he could befriend, before he passed on .And in the last years ,he started using a technique of muscle testing ( used by chiropractors) and his own blood tests to figure out his patients best treatments. And offering to show his patients how to do that too. I had seen variations on his methods by Chiropractors over the years . Its been a great help to me, Before he passed on ( old age)
And even since then. But due to some very bad interactions with the Automotive world. And resulting injuries. It was pure luck I met this Doc in the years before he passed on. Electrolytes ands Amino acids play a big role in a bodys everyday health.. btw he did prescibe drugs as needed. but avoided when he could. Only the best Docs seem to go this route .
It has appeared to me. And have gotten lucky to find a few. Including a Chiripractor or 2 over the years . Which if they are good. You can walk out of their offices standing tall and better working immune function . That has been very helpful to me As mine have proven itself to be over reactive .Prolonged stress and sometimes physical damage can seem to me to bring that on. btw 1st marriage was to the son of a D.O.( Doctorate of Osteopathy) type Doc .Old time one. Whom was very reluctant to prescibe meds. But would do the chiropractic part of teaching he learned to boost or regulate peoples own immune function. It is how I learned about Chiropractic medicine application.
My big take away from all this was to have faith in your own bodies ability to make the greatest effort to heal itself .
Given the right input and methods. By the way ,BB might consider that all them muscles that may or maynot be misfiring in your body ,could be , a lack of nutriets for a time of Calcium / Magnesuim / zinc?. Stuff that gets heavily depleted in times of sxtended stress .Just a Thought bubble, That I thought to add .Wishing you all the best in your healthcare journey Babybird

I know, going to the doctor's isn't my first instinct either

In fact I feel a bit embarrassed at the amount of times I've had to contact them in the last few months but I bet it's nothing compared to some people

Thank you Jakki and all the best to yourself too
