wondering how common they were around here?

i was really prone as a child, still them occasionally now. heat and exercise usually brought one on. sometimes a headache (nothing wrong with my head btw ;) )

A few years ago I started having extremely bad ones and I was able to determine they probably came from one spot, so I went to an ear, nose, and throat specialist and he gave me a topical anesthetic and cauterized that spot, and I don't think I've had a nosebleed since.

i used to get them all the time. especially if i had a cold. they would often result from me picking my nose but i am otherwise more susceptible to them anyway

for several months i would have a sneezing fit in the morning and i would get a bleeding nose every morning as a result.

not had one in over a year

I rarely have them. However one of the many times I got heat stroke I had a nosebleed. It started with me just feeling my pulse in my head as usual, then I started noticing my pulse in my arms and even my legs and then my nose just decided to take a leak and the "pulse" went away.

I pick my nose on a daily basis, I don't give a rats ass how uncleanly it is supposedly, I get sick once maybe twice a year. It rarely is caused by that, if it is it's because my nail snagged on the walls.

I've had frequent nosebleeds all my life. Very frustrating.

you can get any blood vessels close to the surface of your nose cauterised. I'm pretty sure that would solve almost all nosebleed problems.

Professor Dr. Friedrich, a lung specialist in Austria, says picking your nose and eating it is healthy for two reasons:
1) "With the finger you can get to places you just can't reach with a handkerchief, keeping your nose far cleaner."
2) "Eating the dry remains of what you pull out is a great way of strengthening the body's immune system. The nose is a filter in which a great deal of bacteria is collected, and when this mixture arrives in the intestines it works just like a medicine."

I used to get them often as a child. Now as an adult only infrequently.

Its like too much brain pressure.
