I learned about this new medication called Drazosin, which is a blood pressure medicine, which in certian situations has proved in trials to help combat veterans with PTSD with nightmeres.
I am an Aspie, not a combat veteran-but I do struggle with severe nightmeres though, which I believe are PTSD since much of the cotent involves peoples from my past. I am going to meet with my psycophrarmocologist next week. She is going to investigate if this might be helpful for me.
I want to know if you have any infomation, opinions or advice on this. Is this a route you recommend? What do you think?
I am getting discouraged with my nightmeres-last night I had one after another-and all the treatments I am getting is not really working.
Please help me!

Possible side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, constipation, loss of appetite, fatigue, nasal congestion or dry eyes may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the medication. Inform your doctor promptly if you develop: chest pain, difficulty breathing, difficulty urinating, skin rash, swelling of the hands or feet, ringing in the ears. Males - though it is unlikely to occur, if you get a painful, prolonged erection, stop using this drug and seek immediate medical attention. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

There's always the Eastern Medication - Meditation.
Still your mind
Remove yourself from observation
Be gentle
(It's hard to be gentle to people who have wronged you,
but remember, you're judging yourself negatively in your inability to handle them
and to be honest, being able to 'handle' people,
is a dishonest aspy trait which you should give up.)
I am not saying that drugs won't help you, I've heard a lot of anecdotes about how they've saved lives, it's just that I've heard a lot of anecdotes about how they've destroyed lives as well.
Remove yourself from observation ; actually what this really means is
gently focus your observation on yourself
and you will find that everything else slips out of genuine importance
Still your mind :
This means basically : Take the time!
The Dalai Lama spends eight hours a day in meditation!
He does it because that's how he copes.
I personally, found meditation a wonderfull doorway out of insomnia and nightmares, it took a long time though,
most of my early teachers leapt straight into visualisations of being trees
and fairies and whatnot...
and it wasn't until I found a purely Buddhist tradition of
'stilling the mind' that I found success.
...I Hope you find this helpfull
