When watching sport do you prefer the clock to count up...

or count down?


Do you like to know how much time is left or do u like the drama in the last bit of not knowing how much time is left?

I don't watch sport (because I would much rather watch paint dry), but if I did, I would want the clock to count down. Then I would know how much time is left, and it would be very action-packed (that 'on the edge of your seat' feeling) toward the end.

I prefer to watch the clock count down. It's the same on highways, I prefer to see the mile markers count down toward the state line.

Definitely count down. I have no idea how the European fans do it; with their count-up to 45 minutes in a soccer match. It's quite weird, to be honest.

Count up (but that may only be because im used to it)

It helps identify how many minutes the goal/try was scored in, which obviously would also help with betting on the time of goals as well etc.

Also with extra time or injury time, it would seem odd to me if it went in "minus" numbers

But like i said it might partly be due to me being used to it in the last 10-15 years
