I don't think we have those around here. I did a breast cancer run a couple of months ago. Are you into competitive running for fun or are you good enough to place? I run for peace of mind more than being competitive.
Speaking of which, I did 5 miles right at dark and I am surprised how cold things were. More of a scientific inquiry, but there are two stretches along the trail I've been running where the temperature feels about 15 degrees cooler. The only difference I can tell is that the trail bends towards a creek in those spots. Does running water cool the surrounding air that dramatically to make such a temperature difference?
