How do I tighten underchin skin? (male)
I have a problem, and it is best summed up in this pic:

I have lost some weight, but that saggy skin under my chin remains. It makes me look horrible, sorta like Jabba the Hutt. I don't photograph well because of all that skin, and I was wondering how to lose it. I need some exercises I can do to tighten it up or something. I'm gradually losing weight, and it seems that I've lost most of the under chin fat I had, but not the skin. If I didn't have all that skin there I'd look better and once I lost some more weight I'd get noticed more by women if I didn't look like that. Any suggestions?
I'd say it's probably still weight related, you'd probably need to get down to a BMI of like 27 or so for you to be "skinny" in the least. If I were to just take a random guess, your BMI is probably still like 40 or so. Unfortunately, there's no magic way to "spot reduce" fat in specific spots, you simply lose fat in random places at random times. What you could do is you've probably seen the contraptions on TV, where it's a springloaded device you push your chin against to as the TV puts it, burn fat there, but unfortunately it's kinda impossible to burn fat that way. The most it can do is activate the muscles there and make them bigger/stronger, which if there's muscle there, will make the fat less noticeable.
But yeah, lose more weight, that's about all, unless you're willing to go under the knife.
This kind of thing may help.
Although you may not have facial or jaw pain, the method could show some results.

Congratulations on the weight loss. It gets harder as you get older and the effects of gravity don't just go away. I mean, they might if you turned into one of those extreme bodybuilders, but who has that kind of time? It's a little hard to take, eh?
Jack La Lane came up with 30 facial exercises. You could try that. The first is at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isLJ024EdMA
I don't know if they really work. He looked his age when he died. When I was a little girl, I did them with my mom and I have a bit of a double chin. Of course I could loose 50 lbs and it might go away, too. Keep on with whatever you're doing.
I'm generally against cosmetic surgery. For me, I'll take what comes my way, but I can't speak for you. If it's really bugging you, you might just get a consultation to see what they have to say.
Truly, though, any person worth your love will love you for what's in your heart.

...and that haircut draws the eye to a point, as in a pinhead point. You don't look like you're going bald on top. Grow some hair. Draw my gaze to your eyes. You have very soulful eyes.

Congratulations on the weight loss. There is one and only one downside to losing large amounts of weight which is that now you have too much skin. Other people have put in exercise links but the extra skin may have to be removed by a plastic surgeon.
One thing you can do right now to improve the balance of how your face looks is to let your hair grow out more on the sides. Your current haircut is too much on top, not enough on the sides, which combined with too much skin at the neck gives an unfortunate pyramidal shape to your face. You could get more balance with a different haircut.
Cardio Cardio Cardio (oh zombies....)
Seriously though, one of the first things to "tighten" when you lose weight is your face. I am not that overweight but I have a few pounds I would like to lose, and last semester was much worse. I worked out for 2-3 weeks at the local Planet Fitness (tried going 4-5x/wk, 500 cal/time, all Cardio on elliptical and much machine) and after the second week one of my friends in class commented that may face looked tight and much better.
I recommend DDR (Dance Dance Revolution). Sounds silly but You can EASILY burn 500 calories an hour in workout mode. Congratulations on losing any weight though, I know first hand it can be... tedious...

Congrats on the weight loss, it's never easy to do. I'm sorry to say though that not only is spot reducing impossible but even with more weight loss your skin may possibly not tighten up, I was very overweight myself and before I started getting into bodybuilding the skin under my triceps never tightened, the weight just caused to much damage to allow skin elasticity. Keep working on losing weight, you will notice a difference, but it is possible down the road you may have to get cosmetic surgery, which isn't a bad thing in this case, if you're getting cosmetic surgery cause you just don't like your nose, or want better cheekbones, whatever, that's the more unneeded and vanity cosmetic surgery, getting some skin tightened under you arms, chin, etc. that's just a procedure to get you to what you should look like.

Ah,also forgot to mention and don't mean this in a derogatory way at all, just something I noticed. You seem to have upwards of 35-40% bodyfat. Continue exercise, cardio for sure, and watch your diet, when you get down to atleast 16% bf consider doing exercises to build up your traps (Heavy shrugs) and also muscle building exercises for your neck (There's lots, just look them up and be safe when doing them). Building the muscle in those areas might help tighten the skin as those are gain more muscle mass!
It's true, I still have a HUGE belly. I've lost 35 lbs but I STILL have a huge belly. Risperdal and not watching my diet and eating too much fast food is to blame. I cut out the fast food and chocolate, and am slowly losing weight. Maybe I shouldn't worry about it until I'm skinnier. I tried doing cardio but I'm so fat that I nearly ended up with plantar fasciitis, so I had to cancel my health club membership.

Hmm, I'm gonna give a plug for ice skating. When I started skating I was 215 pounds, 5'9" now I'm like 187, was down to 180 in the summer, actually. But I think when I started lifting I added more muscle, my pants all fit the same. Anyway, what I'd recommend for cardio, a big problem with me, I hate running. I hate hate hate it. But skating was great for me, it allowed me to get cardio in a really fun way. But the good thing with skating is, you can rest if you get tired, it's much easier to pace yourself compared to running, imo. That, and cycling, much better. For me, what I do instead of treadmills, I use a slideboard to practice skating stroking, I love it compared to any other leg cardio exercise, it gives you lots of explosive power. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmDZBPt0j94 I particularly LOVE slideboards, so yeah. Also, weights if you like that, they're helpful in everything if you're doing compound lifts. They'll get you stronger, then you'll be able to do cardio activities you like better due to your muscles not getting worn out as quick.
For me, only after ice skating and fitness to go with it became an "obsession" of mine, did I lose weight and get stronger and all that stuff. So the best thing I can recommend is only get stronger for your sake. Women, what random people will think of you, doesn't mean s**t. Find something you wish you could have done when you're a kid, physical activity of some kind, and pursue it now with all you can. One of the things, too, regardless of how you look, your self esteem will improve just by being good at a physical activity. But that's my advice...

Pezar, my weight gain was exactly the same as yours, I was younger (11) but it was from a combination of Risperdal and to much bad food as well. I want to say huge props on the weight loss because Risperdal weight gain, for whatever reason, is more difficult to lost than just regular weight. I was about 5'3 or 4 and over 200lbs from 11 to 15, had a 48in waist and I couldn't walk a block, literally, I would almost pass out from the exertion. Took some time but what I found that worked was obviously cutting back on the bad food, but also drinking as much whatever as I possibly could and when I was hungry I ate stuff that had little to no caloric value (Salads, celery, apples, oranges and soups), I also took green tea extract pills and ate grapefruit (Both are proven to help raise metabolism).
I took off the weight in about 8 months. If you're still taking Risperdal, I don't know if it'll come off as quickly or slower or what, but it's worth a shot. Also what kind of cardio did you do, like a treadmill? I used an elliptical machine and I went very very slow for the first couple months, so I wouldn't get all out of breath, and I slowly got faster, found that doing it 30-60 minutes a day really helped, and it wasn't as hard to do as a treadmill.
Good luck and just continue what you're doing and your results could happen quicker than you might originally anticipate. Also no matter what age a person is, if they've never lifted weights regularly in their life they notice huge results very quickly as their body is not used to that type of work, so when you've lost some more weight and feel ready, if you start weight training it will really help too, as the more lean muscle mass you have, the quicker fat will burn off, lean mass raises you're metabolic rate very high! Good luck my friend!
