Ok, so, we have quite a bit of wildlife in our backyard/neighborhood, ranging from deer to owls, ravens, racoons, ospreys, these weird birds called Flickers (kinda like a ground-based woodpecker) and so on, all the way down to squirrels. Our immediate area has about 5 resident squirrels, including one slightly damaged one.
Now, I've actually done a variant of this using some rope and a racoon, but the thought of reeling in a 25-pound, potentially angry, racoon just doesn't fill me with glee, so I stopped.
But this... this sounds fun.

I tried to catch chipmunks once but proping up a box lid with a stick connected to a string, and under the box lid there was some food. And when it came i would jerk the string. But the box was too flimsey and it would just squirm underneath it.
