With people with issues with balance issues that affect walking, have you tried any walking aids.

I've got into the use of walking or trekking polls that I found a huge benefit as I find it gives me another pivot for balance to redistribute weight elsewhere too avoid potential trips and falls outside of home. This could be potentially of benefit for more harmful weather like high winds.

My balance can be worse on different days, under the influence of fatigue, migraine pain, vertigo or general stress/anxiety.

Am I going in the right direction with this in regards to general safety. I know it's not going to do any favors on any social or employment front, but this for the time being is the only solution without extensive neurophysiology that's not available.

Anyone else do something similar...?

It at least gets me out of the house :?

Many problems with balance are caused by lesions in the cerebellum. Like numbness, there are no medications to improve your balance. However, if you find yourself stumbling, contact a physical therapist. He or she can recommend exercises to help improve balance, as well as mobility aids to increase your stability.

Yes... It's the waiting to get seen since I am already associated with a neurologist and waiting to see a neurophysiotherapist and MRI brain scans to rule out or discover any physical anomalies associated with tics, migraines, balancing issues and whatever else. I'm looking at a wait until at least may, june or july. Thats the NHS for you :/
