I have not, but have a nephew who became an Aikido Master (not sure of the degree) and feel it can be quite positive.
I was sold when I first learned of the method of using the opponents aggressiveness and momentum to end a conflict.
I was really sold when I learned a perfect example of Aikido would be using your skills to turn a situation of conflict (they used the example of a drunk in a bar) into a scene of peace (they used the example of talk and buying the other person a beer).
I hope you decide to try it. Good luck in finding a proper instructor that covers all aspects, not just throws and striking.
